Is My Hope Foolish

Intrigue as a
Character flaw
As empathy
And sympathy
Disguise the draw
However know
The insincere
Seem to speak clear
Without muddled
Bitterly befuddled
Fermented words of fear
For now fools are designed
Under my son of hope

This is my response to a challenge from imaginary garden with real toads.

  1. This fits futuristic perfectly and would also go with Poetry Jam's prompt this week.

  2. Intrigue as a character flaw... there is a huge idea to explore, as you have done with such innovation in this piece.

    1. Thanks. I am glad you noticed. I put down a little structure to the free form.

  4. So much truth here: "the insincere seem to speak clear" !
This whole piece is very well put, nothing insincere about it at all.

  7. I never thought I would look so forward to reading comments... I have to say the RT group is never disappointing.

  8. Fermented words of fear

That line really intrigued me. Fear is a bacteria of sorts. We can only hope we have the courage to punch it down.

(and anyone who can rhyme and have a rhythm I admire)
